SENATOR HALL’S PERSONAL PLANE INVOLVED IN A CRASH

(Canton, TX) — Thursday, Senator Bob Hall’s personal plane crashed in College Station. The plane was being operated by a friend of the Senator.

Excerpt from KBTX report:

The small aircraft crashed in the 11000 block of North Dowling Road. FAA says the plane, a Cessna 172, appears to have lost power.

News 3 has learned that the pilot was Dan Fox and the passenger was Kay Fox. The plane took off from Edgewood and was headed to Port Aransas. The two were taken to the College Station Medical Center with injuries, one of them serious.

DPS says the plane started losing power at 6,500 feet in the air and tried to turn around to land at the airport but didn’t make it.

Senator Hall commented on the incident saying, “I’ve talked to the Dan Fox and am very happy to report that they are in good hands and will both recover. Praise the Lord that they were both protected.”
